Infinite scroll (beta)

Most sites display a list of article teasers below articles. You can now also display full articles here. As user scroll down the page more articles are displayed.

You can set this up in the admin page for Auto insert and select page types, sections or tags where this feature should be used.

This is still in beta and we continue to work on the feature, but you are more than welcome to give it a try.

Visual testing

Baseview now implements visual testing. This improves the overall quality of the view by reducing unwanted changes based on data, templates or styling.

This implementation uses Percy triggered by Cypress.

Improved accessibility

Several updates are made to meet requirements from the WCAG standard.

• Minimum allowed font size set to 12 pixels.
• The flag prefers-reduced-motion is used to disable text animations.
• Text in parallax that replaces the main title may now be set in a H1-tag. Publish validation for this will come later.

Parallax update

Use crystal clear vector graphics in your longreads.

The parallax element now accepts the Graphic element. This may hold transparent PNGs, animated GIFs or vector graphics.

Improved AB tests

Improvements to AB testing: 

• The “Suggest” button for using AI to suggest texts for a variant is now disabled when a test is running

• Fixed a bug where some data for image crops in a variant sometimes did not publish correctly

Custom font styles for Notices

Font styles can now be used to style notice pages.
